One-pack, non-yellowing, superior quality polyurethane enamel for a long-lasting, bright finish. Purity of colour, high stability and brilliance, as well as high resistance to atmospheric agents in the marine environment make this product the optimal choice for a fine finish on boats. The product is available in a wide range of colors for both a spray and brush finish.

 

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION CYCLE

New iron . If the substrate is new, it must be clean, dry, well degreased and free from rust. Apply a base coat such as SOTTOFONDO NAUTICA or EVIOX CROMOMINIO and let it dry. Then apply 2 coats of TOPKAPI SMALTO 18-24 hours apart.

New wood. If the substrate is new, the wood must be clean, dry, seasoned and well sanded. If necessary, proceed with the impregnation of the wood by applying a coat of POLIGLASS Varnish diluted 50-70% or more, without forming a film, or of LIGNUM IMPREGNANTE. After 24 hours, apply a coat of SOTTOFONDO NAUTICA. Leave to dry for 24 hours and overpaint with 2 coats of TOPKAPI SMALTO in the desired colour.

Supports already painted . If the old paints no longer offer adequate adhesion to the substrate or are crumbly, they must be removed mechanically. Thoroughly clean the surface and then follow the instructions above for new substrates. If the painted surface has good adhesion conditions and it is only necessary to restore the finishing coats because they are dirty or opaque over time, clean and degrease the surface thoroughly and sand with medium-fine sandpaper. Remove dust and sanding residues and apply 2 coats of TOPKAPI SMALTO in the desired colour.

NOTE: In summer and/or in any case at temperatures above 20°C, dilution with Dilatante 109 is recommended for brush application.

Goods receipt

Check that the number of packages delivered corresponds to what is indicated in the transport document.

Check that the packaging is intact and not altered even in the closing tapes.
